Following the Cowards demise, Ian and Nicky formed The Sun, The Moon & Brenda with Martin White, Danny Smith and Pete Rayment-Smith. Starting off in a reassuringly, chirpy Cowardsian fashion with their ‘Probably You’ EP, Brenda’s material darkened considerably until, having written and recorded a song called ‘Fat, Forty & Finished’, it was thought best for all concerned to draw proceedings to a close.

After a decent period of grace they began to drift back together until in 2003, under the name Middle Age Rampage, the full line-up began to perform again on a semi-regular basis playing an uncomplicated country-rock based selection.

The imminent release of the Cowards’ material has rekindled Ian and Nicky’s songwriting partnership and they hope to be able to record some new songs as soon as they can find the time.
